The Beginning

Hello everyone. I want to first introduce myself. My name is Antoinette Sampson and I am a mother looking to be able to stay home with her family while still providing an income. I'm quite sure many, if not all of you, have heard this story time and time again. A mother/father has a crappy job, or job that just isn't bringing in that much money, or a job that keeps them from being with their families, blah blah blah. They want to be able to stay home, go to their children's soccer game or ballet recital, take their families to a nice restaurant. With the economy being the way it is, most families are unable to do this. Well my family is like this so I decided to do a little research, research on how to make money at home from the internet. You know what I discovered during my research? I'm sure you can guess, a whole bunch of scams. I cannot believe how many scams I found out there, or you probably can.

Now that I've given you a little background, I'd like to explain why I started my blog. During my research one of the only ways that seemed to work for most people was blogging. I had read recommendation after recommendation that stated that blogging is just about the only honest way to earn money from the internet. I looked into a few writing jobs that were posted online, but I must confess, I didn't feel like I possessed the skills needed to do the jobs properly. There were also survey sites that pay you to do surveys, read emails, play games, and even do some simple tasks. I signed up for a few sites, and realized, you really don't get paid squat. Those survey sites are fun to play around with, but not really an income earner. I was really interested in selling things online, I work retail so I know sales to be one of my strong points. Unfortunately I came across site after site claiming to help you start your own online business after, you pay a small fee you'll get your fingers on this amazing system that will have you raking in the profits over night. How many of you have seen these, even bought into them? I was one of those that bought into it, got scammed big time, and almost gave up. Then I discovered a different site, and that is where this blog comes into play.

As stated earlier, I wanted to find a way to go into sales online, not blogging. I had tried selling Avon once, didn't work out, so I wasn't really interested in selling Mary Kay or anything like that. Then I found a site similar, but very different at the same time. Have you ever tried to set up a website yourself? You have to first create the site, which is tricky enough, then you have to get hosting and domain, which to get really noticed, costs money. Well this site that I stumbled upon, gives you your own website, set up all ready to go, for free. Nice. Free training and support. Really nice. Freedom and choice of what to sell and promote, this site really gives you the tools you need to start your very own store online. Now as I said, this is similar to Avon but very different. Instead of make up, this is jewelry and accessories.
